Step 1: Off-Road Assessment

Reviews your medical history, vision, physical ability, cognitive skills, and road-rule knowledge. This helps us understand your abilities and plan the on-road component of your assessment.

Step 2: On-Road Assessment

A practical test in a dual-controlled car with the Occupational Therapist and Driving Instructor. You'll drive around your local areas while we observe things like your road awareness, hazard response, and vehicle control.

Step 3: Outcome

At the end of the assessment, we discuss the results and explain the recommendation. Your assessment will result in one of three outcomes:

  • Safe to continue driving.

  • Licence conditions or lessons required required.

  • No longer safe to drive.

Step 4: Reporting
