What does an assessment cost?
Every assessment is quoted individually. Your fee depends on the type of assessment you need and where you live. You will see the full cost before anything is booked.
How does quoting work?

Send us a referral or get in touch. We ask a few questions about the person being assessed and where they live.

We send an itemised quote
You see exactly what the assessment includes and what it costs before you commit to anything.

The price we quote is the price you pay
There are no extra charges on the day.
What is included in the fee?
A fitness to drive assessment takes two to three hours on the day.
A health screen at home
We check vision, movement, and the memory and thinking skills you need for driving.
An on-road drive
You drive with a driving instructor in their dual-control car, on roads near your home.
Driving instructor fees
These are included. You do not pay the instructor separately.
A debrief straight after
We talk through what we saw with you, and with family if you would like them there.
A written report
Sent to your GP and, where required, the licensing authority.
What changes the fee?
The type of assessment
Fitness to drive, vehicle modification and potential to drive assessments each involve different time and steps.
Where you live
We cover the Gold Coast, Tweed and northern NSW, and Sydney. Fees vary between regions.
What comes next
If we recommend driving lessons or a reassessment, we will talk you through the cost before anything is booked.
Who can pay for the assessment?
Most people pay privately. Some funding schemes may also cover the cost.
Self-funded
You pay us directly. There is no GST on driving assessments.
NDIS
If your plan includes funding for this, we can bill against it. We send a service agreement before booking.
iCare
We need approval from your case manager before the assessment goes ahead.
CTP and insurance claims
We can work with your insurer once they have approved the assessment.
